Move-In Process

Step-by-Step Process

STEP 1: Sign & Pay

  • Sign your lease in AppFolio.

  • Under the Payments tab, click to Make a Payment.

  • If you have questions about the balance due, click View Full Account Ledger.

  • The first payment must be made with cash, debit, or credit card. This is because it takes 7 days for eCheck payments to clear. If you're not moving in within 7 days, feel free to use eCheck.




STEP 2: Connect utilities

Turn on all utility services (Other than those that the lease states are landlord responsibility.)

  • Activation Date: Utilities must be active on the date the lease begins.

  • If you forget to activate any utilities and we receive an invoice from a utility provider for a service period that overlaps your lease term, our system will automatically prorate the bill between the new/old tenants, or between the new tenant/landlord based upon the lease term. A $20 Billing Fee applies.

​​STEP 3: Inspection

  • Using the Maintenance Checklist, the maintenance tech will confirm the property meets our standard of quality. Please hold us to this standard at the move-in, as we will hold you to this standard at move-out.

  • Our tech will install a lockbox on the front door with your set of keys.




STEP 4: Get the keys

  • The day before your lease start date, our processor will confirm you paid the balance (with the correct payment method) and email the lockbox code.

  • Once the email is delivered, you can pick up the keys.




STEP - 5: Move-In

You can move in any time after you get the keys. There's no rush.
